PERFORMANCES
What kind of music does the orchestra perform?
We play music by classical composers, including Rossini, Mozart, Delius, Handel, Dvorak, Von Suppe, Tchaikovsky and Bizet. We also have fun playing light entertaining music by composers such as Rodgers and Hammerstein, Bernstein, and Mancini.
The Brisbane Concert Orchestra is also committed to promoting the work of local composers, soloists and collaborating with other community ensembles in choral and orchestral works. At some concerts there are also opportunities for solo work.
Where does the orchestra perform?
Brisbane Concert Orchestra has regular performances throughout the year. We play to the general public at community events, and also at private functions.
Past performances have included "Showcase" concerts in the Queen Street Mall, where we play in public to a large number of people who take the time to sit, listen and relax. The orchestra has also accompanied local soloists and choirs such as the All Hallows School Choir, as well as performances at community concerts at churches, community centres, retirement villages and nursing homes.
Each year we present an annual gala concert for friends, family and our general public. These concerts are our major fund-raising events and have specific themes and have included a "French Connection", "Aqua Notes" and "Showtime".

Just a reminder that parking arrangements at All Hallows' School have changed. Both the Ann Street and Story Bridge entrance gates will be closed from 6 PM. We need to park in the parking area below the pool.
Go along Ann Street past the school and Antrim Street (it is one way) and then turn left into Boundary Street. Just a little way along, on the left, there is the entrance to Dodge Lane. At the end of Dodge Lane (do not turn left to Antrim Street), turn right into the school gate. You will find the parking area there.
