A CELEBRATION OF MUSIC

Sunday 6th December 2020 – 2:30pm

Join the Brisbane Concert Orchestra as it returns to the stage to present A Celebration of Music, a COVID-safe performance celebrating the joy that music brings to us on a daily basis.

Under the baton of Musical Director Matthew Schwarz, the orchestra will lift you up with performances of Brahms’ Hungarian Dances and excerpts from Bizet’s famous opera, Carmen. Joining BCO as guest soloists are soprano Anna Tafani and baritone Camilo Lopez, final-year students at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University. They will sing arias from Mozart’s Marriage of Figaro, excerpts from Faure’s requiem, as well as songs by Strauss and Schubert. The orchestra and soloists will then finish the afternoon with some Christmas favorites to send you off in a festive spirit!

This is an afternoon of music making you do not want to miss, so book your tickets now! Limited seats available due to COVID restrictions.
