ABOUT THIS CONCERT
Join the Brisbane Concert Orchestra for From the New World, an evening centred around Antonín Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9 in E minor, one of the most beloved symphonies of all time.
Composed in 1893 during Dvořák’s time in America, the New World Symphony reflects his impressions of a new land while drawing inspiration from his Czech roots. From its stirring opening to the unforgettable Largo and triumphant finale, this symphony continues to captivate audiences worldwide.
Under the direction of Matthew Schwarz, the orchestra will also perform other works that complement this iconic piece.
